As someone who ALSO had to urgently book a ticket back to the US in March 2020 in order to get home to the US from abroad, I found today’s interview entirely too relatable! THE SAGA!!!!!
In this video, I was thrilled to interview my friend Clarisa roughly a week after she returned back to Chicago after moving to Buenos Aires in February 2020 as a corporate expat.
For me, it was fascinating to hear from her about the way she witnessed Argentina handle the COVID-19 outbreak, and how it differed so much from what happened in the US and Europe. I felt it sounded like Argentina’s approach to the pandemic was both more cautious AND more systematic. It was interesting to hear how she attributed that to Argentinians having experienced past panic and crises in the past two decades, so it didn’t feel new. Fascinating!
I’m certainly hopeful that their cautious approach has truly helped saved Argentinian lives.
With that, I personally found today’s interview to be both incredibly informative as well as entertaining – and I hope you do, too!
