As a self-declared “products girl,” I am constantly looking for ways to save space in my liquids bag when I travel.

When I worked at Origins during my freshman year of college, I recall my Regional Manager coming straight into the store after her flight from Dallas with her large suitcase in tow. I was surprised to see someone who traveled weekly for business lugging a checked bag! When another co-worker asked her about it, she proudly said that she can’t go anywhere without her products. Truth be told, her skin and makeup were impeccable as a result.

Frankly, I feel very similarly to her. I have no desire to change my skincare routine while I’m traveling by making cuts or compromises. It is when my skin needs the most TLC!

But, luckily, over the years I have researched different travel packing hacks to help reduce wasted space in my liquids bag. These tips have allowed me to embrace the carry-on life while maintaining my skincare routines.

A couple years ago, I was elated to hear that Biore had finally released a charcoal facial bar soap in the US. Prior to that, no mainstream beauty brand had a face bar soap on the market. My husband and I took the Biore facial bar soap on our honeymoon and we both loved how much room it saved from our liquids allowance. Plus, it worked great and lasted FOREVER!

Then, a few weeks ago when I ordered some of my favorite products from Clinique, they included a sample of a new powder face cleanser with my order. In today’s video, I decided to brave a bare face on camera and bring you along as I tested the cleanser.

The full name of the face wash that I reviewed in the video is the Clinique For Men Super Energizer Anti-Fatigue Exfoliating Powder Cleanser. I was so excited that the product claimed to be dual-purpose based on how much water you mixed in!

As you will see as you watch the footage, my opinion after trying the product was that the cleaning power was terrific! I felt it could be a great option to replace a liquid face wash in a travel bag.

However, I felt that the product was not able to perform phenomenally as an exfoliator. As a result, I would not recommend replacing your current exfoliant with this product. Further, since this powder cleanser was unscented and slightly reddening as an exfoliator, I didn’t understand the energizing and anti-fatiguing properties that it claimed to have.

I hope this review was helpful for busy travelers who wish to pack light. As you prep for upcoming trips where liquid space may be tight, I encourage you to ask an associate at your nearest Clinique counter if you could sample this cleanser – it could be a great way to save a bit of space in your quart-sized baggie!

Happy Travels!
