In 2020, Derek and I spent a month in Scotland exploring the beautiful, rural landscapes of the Highlands – including completing the famous NC500 roadtrip across the northern Highlands, and finishing in the Isle of Skye and Oban!

On prior trips, we’ve also experienced the bigger cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, along with dozens of other Scottish hotspots.

As a result, we thought we’d share the knowledge we’ve gained from these adventures and help folks preparing for an upcoming trip to Scotland by sharing our TOP 5 packing tips!

Bonus: we filmed the tips in front of a gorgeous Scottish castle ruin called Castle Stalker!

The above video is a deep-dive into the MUST-BRING items that every tourist should pack for Scotland. That said, if there’s anything we missed, please feel free to add your tips in the comments as well!

Hope you enjoy! Cheers and happy travels!
