VEGAS BABY!

Last week my husband and I went to Las Vegas, Nevada for the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES conference), which is the largest consumer technology show in the world! It was my second time attending, and I am starting to feel like a true veteran!

What always strikes me as funny about the city of Las Vegas is that most of the people there either look like they are having the time of their life, or like they cannot wait to leave. It’s a very curious destination. The city welcomes roughly 42 million visitors annually, who flock there for family vacations, work conferences, bachelor parties, 21st birthdays, concerts, and more. You name it, Vegas hosts it!

Despite the numerous reasons why travelers visit by the droves, every person checking into a hotel along the Vegas Strip will encounter similar experiences when they venture out to explore. The hotels themselves are massive, complete with long hallways leading to each bedroom. To get to the hallways, you must walk past each hotel’s 24-hour casino, and tons of delicious-looking restaurants. The hotel restaurants are almost always expensive, but the quality of the food is outstanding! While exploring the Vegas Strip, a traveler should expect a sensory overload of neon lights and ads for evening entertainment. Popular music will be blaring, fountains will be spraying, traffic will be honking, and professional promoters will be calling out for the attention of passersby. What a show!
