Train stations throughout France (and Europe!) can sometimes feel busy and confusing to new travelers.
Americans like myself are not used to traveling by train as often as Europeans, and today I wanted to provide a quick guide for finding exactly where you should wait for your train to arrive.
In the above video, I give a quick overview of how I navigated the large Gare de Avignon TGV train station in preparation for my bullet train trip from Avignon in southern France to Paris in September.
The train maps within the stations were extremely helpful to pinpoint exactly where to stand in order to quickly board the near my assigned seat. Trains across Europe only stay at each station for a few minutes before departing, so it’s important to locate where you should stand in advance. That is, after you make sure to arrive early!
Hopes this helps relieve any stress when you arrive at the station! Happy travels, everyone!
